What is chlamydia?
- Chlamydia is the most common bacterial sexually transmitted infection
- About 1 in 10 sexually active young people who have tested have chlamydia
- It affects both men and women
- Most people who have chlamydia have no symptoms
- There is a simple self taken test available in Birmingham and Solihull
- It is easily treated with antibiotics
- The test and antibiotics are free
- If left untreated chlamydia can cause long term health problems.
Having a simple test can tell you if you have it.
The problem is most people have no signs of or symptoms so most of you wouldn't know you have it. You can easily find out with a confidential self-taken test and chlamydia is simple to treat with FREE antibiotics.
