We will not tell anyone about what you tell us. But we will
send details of the result BUT NOT your name and address
to the Health Protection Agency. The Health Protection
Agency counts how many people in England have Chlamydia
so they can make sure people get the best treatment.
If your test was taken in a clinical setting such as your GP, family planning clinic or Brook, the doctors or nurses involved may get a copy of your test result. If you take a test in a setting such as a college, university or youth drop in centre that does not involve medical staff, the centre will not have a copy of your test result.
If you are under sixteen years of age you have the same rights to confidentiality.
